Moving Hamptons Houses

Cocoran Real Estate
For every dream house in the Hamptons, one sits around the corner, five in the neighborhood, and twenty in the village. Local property occupies as much space in the headlines as it does acreage. First Roy Scheider's house is bought by Billy Joel, and then Sagaponack is named the most expensive zip code in the country. With such competition at hand, what can you do to put the spotlight on your home? Take a lesson from recent notable open houses:

  • Gioia DiPaolo of Corcoran Real Estate brought the opening reception of E.J Camp’s “HumanNature” photo exhibit at 23 Westwood Drive, Sag Harbor. Over 100 people came by the house; the exhibit must have been nice, too.
  • At a $4.5 million home in North Haven, shoppers enjoyed sushi and Saketinis, (inspired by Bamboo’s recipe) while enjoying the water view.
  • On Paul's Lane in Bridgehampton there's no house -- because it's not built yet! Visitors were treated to a view of the $6.8 million soon-to-be home’s foundation, floor plans, and a box lunch to take on the fly.
  • Other innovative brokers sparked up barbecues in the backyard, washed cars in the driveway (presumably hiring someone else to scrub), and hosted raffles on site.
