Get Ready to Enjoy East End Farmstands

Strawberries in June, blueberries in July, corn and tomatoes in August. There is nothing like the taste of fruit and vegetables picked from the field only hours—or minutes—before. The farm stands of the east end offer a seasonal bounty that is a big plus to being in these parts.Among those along Montauk Highway are: The Milk Pail and Amy’s Flowers in Water Mill, and Pike Farms in Sagaponack, while Round Swamp Farm is on Three Mile Harbor Road. If you haven’t been around here long enough to know where the farmstands are or have a favorite, The Long Island Farm Bureau (founded in the‘90s to promote and preserve farming and its economy) lists them on its website.
